3 Days/2 Nights – Yoga + Reiki + Nature + Nourishment
August 7-9, 2026
Chester, Connecticut | A Summer Weekend of Renewal

Join Karyn Force and the Wellness with Care community for a rejuvenating summer weekend of connection, reflection, and renewal. Nestled in the peaceful Connecticut River town of Chester, this three-day, two-night retreat invites you to step away from the busyness of daily life and reconnect in nature through daily yoga and Reiki, peaceful relaxation, and the warmth of shared experiences. Enjoy your choice of private accommodations with an en-suite bath, delicious locally sourced meals, and spacious time to unwind. The serene surroundings invite you to slow down and reconnect — with yourself, with nature, and with one another. The property features onsite walking trails, a labyrinth for quiet reflection, and a tranquil pond with a deck for moments of rest. Every detail is designed to support your journey toward renewal and inner balance. Classes will be held indoors in a comfortable and serene loft space, filled with natural light from skylights overhead. If the group wishes, an outdoor stretch class may also be offered on the peaceful deck, based on group preference.

One of the true highlights of the retreat is the nourishment you’ll receive through thoughtfully prepared meals. Guests will enjoy three wholesome, beautifully crafted meals each day, prepared by our on-site chef using fresh, whole-food ingredients. Each menu is made from scratch and mindfully designed with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, offering both meat-based and vegetarian options.
Six nourishing meals are included—from Friday evening dinner through Sunday lunch—providing steady, supportive nourishment throughout the weekend. Fresh beverages are available all day, including coffee, tea, water, and lemonade. Great care is taken to accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies whenever possible. For additional personal needs or preferences, guests also have access to a shared refrigerator and microwave. For those who feel inspired by the meals, our chef will have their cookbook available for purchase during the retreat—a beautiful way to bring a taste of the experience home with you.

Comfortable accommodations with private baths are available in spacious, beautifully furnished guest rooms. Each room has its own full bathroom, individual climate control, high-speed Wi-Fi, and air conditioning — and no two rooms are exactly alike, adding to the charm and serenity of your stay. Thoughtful details and a peaceful setting make these rooms a true retreat space where you can rest deeply and wake refreshed each morning — making this a true getaway for rest and rejuvenation.

When you’re not on the mat, take time to explore the amazing grounds and onsite trails or explore Chester—a charming New England village known for its riverside setting, cozy cafés, art galleries, boutiques, and warm small-town feel. For nature lovers, scenic bike routes, kayaking spots, and hiking trails in nearby forests offer plenty of ways to connect with the outdoors. A refreshing swim in Pattaconk Lake, a stroll through local parks, or a visit to historic landmarks adds to the richness of your retreat experience.
For those who want to extend the experience beyond the retreat grounds, the area offers beautiful outdoor activities and historic sites, including:
- Cockaponset State Forest – miles of scenic hiking trails and peaceful woodlands
- Parmelee Farm – outdoor recreation space with walking trails and seasonal events
- Kayaking & biking – opportunities to enjoy the Connecticut River and nearby trails
- Pattaconk Lake – perfect for swimming and relaxing by the water
- Gillette Castle – a whimsical early 20th-century mansion designed like a medieval castle
- Chester-Hadlyme Ferry – a seasonal Connecticut River ferry with historic charm
This blend of natural beauty, outdoor adventure, and New England charm makes Chester the perfect setting to complement our retreat experience.
